Healing Communities are small groups of God’s people, who seek to bring healing to themselves and others, and to the communities in which they serve.
Essentially a Healing Community is a House Church (although it could meet anywhere), with a special emphasis of bringing healing in Spirit, Soul and Body. Whist emphatically in the mainstream of Christian thinking, we seek to reach “outside the box” to those who have been hurt, misunderstood or marginalized by our society.
Each individual Healing Community is totally independent, although will network with
other House Churches and like-
Our meetings are informal, with everyone participating. Typically they will include: worship, a time of sharing, an informal discussion Bible study and a time of prayer and ministry.
Those with particular needs within the group may be ministered to individually by a personal counselor whilst being supported by the whole group.
These groups may be any size, but typically when they reach 20+ they will split into two smaller groups to better aid personal care within the groups.
In many areas Healing Communities, have also sought to reach out to touch the wider communities in which they exist. This includes: feeding the poor and needy, prisoner outreaches, counseling centers, praying for and advising local government leaders, making Christmas gifts to children and the elderly in poor countries and much much more.
